Wow 2012, it has been a while BUT I just felt the desperate need to bring back the Bulletin, I hope you enjoy.
First things first I hope you are all well and I guess a big Hello to you all; I haven't been on Polyvore properly for a long while and still I don't know how much I will stick around but I have missed the writing and the designing so watch this space I guess....
Exciting times, I feel, the colours this spring summer are bright, pastel, mismatch but perfect for summer. I am loving the crazy tribal patterns that litter the shops, oversized cardigans and short shorts with frayed edges.
Mint green: is in!!! Perfect with a range of colours, just adding grey but even mixing up with a coral or pink.
Vans: always in but now that spring/ summer is here - brilliant and comfortable food wear is here. I love how with Vans you can get such a wide variety of colours and mixtures, look out for quirky ones.
Also something I have noticed in shops and Love, Love, Love is tops made up of a huge picture, in pinks, oranges, yellows, greens - a prime example of this is http://www.riverisland.com/Online/women/tops/smart-tops/blue-landscape-print-top--619902 - so unbelievably cute.
It's time for the thing I love doing - finding and mentioning the amazing designer and creators on Polyvore.
One person I love is @bittersweet89 her sets have always blown me away - I love the ways she captures the perfect outfit in such a magical way. I haven't seen her sets for a while and just spent some time looking through her recent sets; I love the way her sets have changed since I was last on Polyvore - still utterly amazing.
@jan31 is a member I have only just noticed, one set in particular caught my eye: http://www.polyvore.com/suddenly_im_there/set?id=46374640 - Just mesmerising.
@ginevra-18 This member uses such lovely colours and I love the ways she structures her sets, so beautiful!
@gokarm I saw the most amazing set are you grunge? Yes Yes I am - I love everything about that set!!!
Recently I have spent time trying to work out where to put so much of my stuff, endless piles stuffed to one side of the bed drive me mad. So knowing I needed to find a new home for these piles of notebooks, I decided that I need some shelves. I as normal do not want anything normal by any measure, had this wonderful idea that I wanted shelves from old train carriages, however to find these was going to be a mission. I did some research and stumbled upon this amazing and inspiring website which led me down the garden path to other weird and wonderful ideas. For all those who love retro and vintage you will adore this site; http://www.elemental.uk.com/
There is one more product I would love to share with you, I was trying to buy a friend a home warming present (well university halls warming) and wasn't completely unsure what to get but knew she loved everything retro and vintage. I was aimlessly searching for something that would suit, cushions, blankets etc. when I found myself in the kitchen department and found the most awesome and kitsch kitchen designs ever - Pip Studios. It has an ultimately modern feel but with a twist of the old, it was love. http://www.pip-studio.co.uk/
